At Third Coast Oysters, we do one thing, but we do it well; we are dedicated to producing the highest quality oysters in Texas!

RAISED IN NATURE
You wont find holding tanks or artificially crafted saltwater here! We're proud to say our oysters are raised in the heart of Copano Bay on the Texas coast. Our oysters feed and grow on the top of the natural water table, avoiding the silt and debris on the bay floor and benefitting from the constant introduction of fresh food in the tides. We firmly believe that this environment leads to a better oyster, and we're confident you'll taste the difference!
One of the biggest benefits to a farm our size is the ability to handle all of our oysters regularly. Although we do use some mechanical help, we make it a point to put hands on our oysters each time we work and sort them in order to know what's really going on in our crop! This helps us ensure that each oyster is healthy, thriving, and will be ready for your plate!
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Farming oysters in Texas' native saltwater environments allows us to do something few other industries can do; impact the environment in a positive way! Because oyster's are filter feeders, they naturally clean the waters they inhabit and leave it better than before! In addition, by farming oysters, rather than fishing, we take some of the pressure of population recovery off of the native oyster population and allow them to thrive.
